Client Service Representatives

Client Service Representatives

Our friendly and caring client service representatives are responsible for greeting you and your pets. Differentiating routine cases from emergency cases, answering phones, scheduling appointments, entering information into our computer system, generating invoices, processing payments and managing the retrieval and storage of our medical records are just some of the jobs they perform on a daily basis. Our client service representatives are knowledgeable about the products we carry and are happy to discuss any of them with our clients. Along with discussing the prescription foods, heartworm prevention and flea products that we carry, they are also knowledgeable about the valuable services we offer to our friends and their beloved pets.

Veterinary Assistants

Veterinary Assistants

Our team of veterinary assistants helps our doctors and registered veterinary technicians during examinations and surgeries. In surgery, they monitor patients, take vital sign readings, sterilize and prepare surgical instruments and prepare the patients for surgery. Veterinary assistants help with nail trimming and drawing blood during appointments and record the pet's weight and temperature. They care for boarding guests and pets that are hospitalized. In addition to their medical responsibilities, the veterinary assistants clean and stock our exam rooms and the rest of the hospital.

Registered Veterinary Technicians

Registered Veterinary Technicians

Registered veterinary technicians have completed a veterinary technician program at an accredited college prior to passing the state's requirements for licensure. Our technicians regularly attend continuing education programs and lectures in order to maintain their license. At Bigger Road Veterinary Clinic, registered technicians are responsible for administering and monitoring anesthesia, performing dental cleanings, taking x-rays, filling prescriptions, educating clients, and working alongside the veterinarians and veterinary assistants to provide care for our patients. Technicians also acquire and prepare laboratory samples, administer vaccinations and record the owner's verbal history of their pet.

Groomers and Kennel Assistants

Groomers and Kennel Assistants

Two groomers and one kennel assistant are responsible for bathing, grooming and kennel duties at Bigger Road Veterinary Clinic. Our kennel assistant is responsible for feeding, watering, walking, bathing, and monitoring all pets in our care. Our groomers can bathe, brush and clip your pet and can professionally groom any dog or cat according to breed standards or individual preferences. The groomers and kennel assistant work in close proximity to the rest of the veterinary staff allowing easy access to medical treatment if any problems are noticed (ear or skin infections). The convenience of providing immediate medical care to boarding and grooming guests prevents returning to the veterinary hospital to remedy an existing problem.
